I issue yet another invitation to Bishop Otis Carswell to appear on my show.  The Bishop is accusing the media, specifically me, of the death of Justin Jackson, the 19 year old killed by police in Mt. Oliver last week.  He made the comments during the funeral service.  He also blamed police for faulty procedures.  Fact: the kid had a gun...he fired at police...he killed a...

WOW!  What a response we got from our "tribute to Moms."  More than 200 people clicked our link to download it or get the words.  If you missed it, you can hear it again...just click on the link on my main page.  The tribute was produced by my friend, Michael Ziants in New Orleans.  He has received a huge response as well...including one woman who broke into...

Friends....a gift from God!  They really are.  I have some fantastic friends...there to cheer me up...to support me...to help out with stuff.   And my friends run the gamut...Republican, Democrat, moderate...it doesn't matter, they are my friends.  During the last general election, I was in the hospital and couldn't vote, a Democrat friend of mine went to the polls and...

My listeners are really great! One came up with a great idea to help build attendance at Pirates games.  She  said the Pirates should show the Penguins play-off games on the Jumbotron.  They would sell out!  They could play the baseball game during the intermission.  Maybe that would get people into PNC Park!

Note to Hillary:  it's time to go.

There's too much junk on TV!  No, I don't mean junk shows, I mean junk all over the screen.  Station logos, time, temperature, crawls along the bottom, FANCY SWISHES AND SWIRLS EVERY TIME A NEW SUBJECT IS BROACHED! and then the are the promos that fill the lower third of the screen...most times blocking something you're trying to see.  I was watching KDKA TV sports report about ...

GIMMICKS! Politicians love gimmicks. John McCain and Hillary Clinton are backing this stupid notion of a 3 month gas tax holiday.  They are pandering to the uniformed.  AND...the idea could actually increase consumption and make things worse. AND the average driver would save a whopping total of $30.  Wow!   It's an election year, politicians will say anything to get ...

I'm worried that we are becoming a nation of whiners. We complain about everything...lately it's gas prices, food prices you name it, we complain about it.  Don't get me wrong, we are all hurting these days, but blaming people won't fix theproblems.  Times ARE tough...but they've been tougher.  We've made it through much worse times and we WILL make it through this.  Adapt, ...

OK, stop the calls and e-mails.  Amy Mauk HAS NOT left the building.  It seems many people think she has quit or been fired...QUITE  THE CONTRARY!  Amy has been promoted to KDKA's Promotions Director and until a replacement is found, she is still helping out with the show...basically doing two jobs.  So don't despair, Amy has just moved to a new office in "carpet ...

I just finished watching Reverend Wright at the National Press Club nd I must say, his comments just reinforce my opinion of him.  I must also say he continues to be a major liability to Senator Obama's campaign. right is an arrogant man whosecontinued outrageous comments show what he believes.  But the real question is, does Senator Obama believe this stuff too?  If not, why did...

Please allow me to vent...PENNDOT STINKS! This weekend they've shut down the inbound lanes of the Parkway East...shut them down...closed!!  Who cares that there's a home stand for the Pirates or the Penguins are playing, or that Pitt graduationis Sunday.  How do you shut down the ONLY highway into town from the east?  Penndot is just inept....your tax dollars at work.

I'm sure I'll get some calls on this.  Laura Bush and daughter Jenna were on Larry King last night when Larry asked who they were supporting in the election.  Here's the transcript:

KING: Do you have a favorite between the two, the two Democrats?

LAURA BUSH: My favorite is the Republican.

KING (pointing to Jenna): Yours too, I would imagine.

JENNA BUSH: I don't ...

The race goes on!  and I'm glad.  There's nothing better for Republicans than this long, protracted fight among Democrats.  Any time democrats fight, it's a treat.  The only way the Dems can salvage this is to agree to let theloser become the running mate. But that won't happen...so...LET THE FIGHT GO ON!

Are you ready to vote?  It's almost time...it's about time.  I've just about had it with to wall to wall political ads on TV and radio. The Penguins Rock!
The Pirates STINK (still)!
Last night's debate was a yawner...let's vote already.

Happy tax day!  A LOUSY day no matter how you look at it.  Our tax system is unfair...it stinks that's why I have been an advocae of the Fair Tax, in essence, a national sales tax.  But what makes it worse, last year, the IRS says 21%of personal taxpayers simply didn't pay.  That translates into 3 BILLION DOLLARS of uncollected taxes in just one year.  i would favor a...

There's no disputing gasoline prices are high but whining and complaining won't change that.  Using less gasoline will.  I saw on the news last night a woman gassing up complaining that it's costing too much - that's she not getting paid any more and that something's got to give.  She was gasing up one of the biggest SUVs they make.  See that's the problem...

You gotta love the loony-tunes that populate the State of California.  It’s a real feel-good bunch out there.  Some genius politician in LA came up with  the idea: Let’s let everyone driving a hybrid car park for free in the city.  What a great idea, that certainly is a green idea until reality set in….there are a lot of people in California that drive...

The big story today is Barack Obama’s race speech, and a lot of people are focusing on Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s comments.  I don’t want to focus on whether or not he has the right to say those comments or not, but I want to focus on does Barack Obama agree with the pastor.
